Diachem, an Italian partner in the market for agrochemical products

Diachem is an Italian company with more than 50 years of experience in agrochemical products. In its plant, located in Caravaggio near Milan, Diachem formulates agrochemicals, fertilizers and biological products. The group aims to defend and enlarge its own agrochemicals commodities and special fertilizers to cover all the main market segments in Italy as first and then in Europe. In the domestic market, sale, promotion and marketing activities are managed through the brand “Chimiberg”, a brand known thanks to over 50 years of presence in the market. Diachem is now ready to export its experience and its products out of Italy; in particular, among fungicides, Diachem is able to offer products based on tribasic copper sulphate, a cupric salt with excellent efficacy, selectivity on the treated crop and environmental impact reduction. The physical-chemical characteristics of each cupric salt influence the release of copper ions and in Tribasic Copper Sulphate (TBCS) a part of copper is rapidly bio-available while the other part solubilize slowly. The high quality formulation (suspension concentrate), completes the excellent efficacy profile of the product, ensuring a uniform coverage and resistance to water washout thanks to a proper particle-size distribution. In field, these properties translate into high performance at a low dose of copper metal per hectar; many trials conducted by test facilities and pratical applications have validated that the efficacy doses are 720 Cu2+ g/ha on grapevine and 350-500 Cu2+ g/ha on vegetables. Therefore it’s possible to save from 30 to 40% of copper metal (compared to other copper salts). TBCS can be used on many crops: not only grapevine, tomato and various vegetables, but also olive, pome fruits, stone fruits and so on. TBCS is allowed in organic agriculture.
